Our Story

Hi! We’re Ethel & Shaun, founders of Edith Patisserie.


We met each other in pastry school, and after working in the industry for several years, we opened our very own bakery in 2013, named after Ethel’s mum. We started off baking for friends and family, and slowly through word-of-mouth, grew our brand to what it is today. Being voted Best Bakery in Singapore by Honeycombers Love Local Awards was a culmination of all our hard work, and we strive to always live up to that standard.

Giving back to the community is a core value of our bakery, because Shaun & I have always believed in doing more than just baking cakes. Today, we’re proud to be recognised by RaiSE as a social enterprise that provides meaningful employment for individuals with special needs and for caregivers who need flexible work. We also run community workshops and sponsor cakes for the terminally ill and disadvantaged beneficiaries. We are also honoured to be recognised as a Company of Good and conferred 2 Hearts by NVPC. 

We’ve grown to several cafes across Singapore, launched a sister brand Tina’s Café, and continue to bake every day in our kitchen, on top of raising two mischievous and cake-loving kids. As chaotic as life can be, bringing joy to others with delicious bakes will always be at the heart of everything we do. Thank you for supporting us on our journey!
