Traditionally, longevity buns are a Chinese symbol of immortality and are popular auspicious motifs to present to elderly people as a celebration of their age. This version of our longevity cake features a red cake base with pink and red cherry blossoms, each blossom piped individually by hand. The cake is decorated with a handcut fondant longevity wording painted gold for a touch of glam, along with a hand-sculpted fondant 'shou tao', or longevity bun.
